BackgroundEven though there have been tremendous strides globally in reducing the burden of tetanus, neonatal deaths due to tetanus reported annually, and most occur sub-Saharan Africa which accounts for nearly half global mortality by tetanus. Immunization pregnant women or childbearing age with at least two doses toxoid is estimated reduce from 94%. Despite its importance, immunization programs are suboptimal Ethiopia, where more than 85% population resides rural districts. Therefore, this study has used determine coverage determinants protective dose vaccine among postnatal design a strategy maximize service.MethodsInstitution-based cross-sectional was conducted December 20-June 20, 2019. The sample taken using systematic random sampling method. To collect data participants, semi-structured interviewer-administered pre-tested questionnaire used. were entered into Epi info version 7.0 then exported SPSS 20.0 analysis. Logistic regressions analysis level statistical significance determined p-value less 0.05.ResultsThe proportion Tetanus 69.8% (95% CI: 65.2–74.0). Urban residence (AOR = 3.626, 95%CI: 1.510–8.707), husband's having secondary education 7.397, 1.873–29.211), tertiary 9.539, 2.277–39.969), stated that provision TT service good 3.978, 95%CI 1.303–12.146) mother health care workers who provide their behavior 4.259, 1.913–9.484) factors influencing utilization immunization.ConclusionThe area found be low.
